The ESP E-II Alexi Ripped is a guitar designed by Children of Bodom/Bodom After Midnight frontman Alexi Laiho. It features an offset V shape with neck-thru-body construction at 25.5” scale. The neck is a three-piece thin u-shaped maple neck with natural satin finish, alder body wings, and an ebony fingerboard with scalloped frets from 19 to 24. It has 24 extra-jumbo frets, sawtooth inlays, and glow-in-the-dark side markers. This model is the first Alexi Laiho Signature Series guitar with more than one pickup. The bridge pickup is an EMG HZ F-H2 passive humbucker, while the neck pickup is an EMG HZ S2 passive stacked single coil. The guitar also includes an ESP MM-04 active boost switch, a preamp circuit with adjustable EQ settings and up to +18dB of boost. Designed for professional players, the E-II Alexi Ripped includes high-end components such as Gotoh locking tuners, ESP strap locks, a double-locking Floyd Rose Original bridge, and chrome hardware including a volume control, an inset three-way pickup selector, and boost switch. The guitar comes in a Purple Fade Satin finish with painted black satin “ripped” pinstripes, with black satin back and sides. It includes a deluxe ESP hardshell case.
