Ibanez designed the EHB Ergonomic Headless Bass for players who crave a lighter instrument with all the possible speed and fluidity capable of a bass guitar. To do this, the company engineered the entire bass with ergonomics in mind, taking into account how the hand should rest on the fingerboard, the slope of the neck, and the selection of tonewoods. And so the EHB ended up with a gorgeous poplar burl top over a lightweight African mahogany body that looks, feels, and sounds amazing. Joining them are a 9-piece panga panga/walnut neck with a comfortable profile and a bound panga panga fingerboard featuring luminescent side dot inlays for confident fretwork on dark stages. And Ibanez went all out on hardware: this bass harbors 24 medium stainless steel frets, custom Ibanez tuning machines, and the famous Mono-rail V bridge. Unlike single-body bridges, each Mono-rail saddle is completely separate from the others and double-anchored, creating minimal sympathetic vibration and promoting efficient energy transfer between string and body. You'll feel and hear the difference!
